Indian tea company Williamson Magor & Co Ltd said on Tuesday it has formed a joint venture with UK's D1 Oils Plc to develop plantations in the north-eastern parts of India.

D1 Oils produces biodiesel from renewable energy sources.
Financial details were not disclosed.
Ahead of the announcement, Williamson's shares ended 0.9 per cent lower at Rs 49.70 in a firm Mumbai market.
