Manoj acknowledged he could achieve such heights in the game because of the invaluable support from his wife.

“It is always easy to achieve success in a career which your life partner shares equal knowledge of,” said Manoj Gupta. Now Manoj looks forward to his wife winning the same award in the next two or three years.

The story of the other couple is also inspiring. NIS boxing coach Amanpreet is posted in the Sports department while Ramanand Singh is undergoing NIS training in Patiala.

Ramanand, who has participated in various international events and won number of medals, said Amanpreet is his inspiration. “We married two years ago and I was happy my wife worked hard in the same game which I wanted to excel,” said Ramanand.
