Around 150 members from 57 blocks of three villages attended the panchayat. BKU state vice-president Mahinder Singh Charoli, Meerut division vice-president Ajay Arya, Gautam Budha Nagar district president Ajay Pal Sharma heard the farmers' grievances.

"Our two main demands include — withdrawal of the cases against farmers and implementation of UP rehabilitation policy, announced in October 2010, from the year 201,” said Sharma. “We are studying the policy draft to suggest amendments. On July 17, an all-party conference will be held to discuss the draft policy. Leaders from all political parties will participate in it,” Sharma said.
