A woman boxer allegedly committed suicide on Wednesday in a hostel at the Lal Bahadur stadium in Hyderabad, police said.

S Amaravati(19), a trainee at the Centre of Excellence run by the state government, was found dead this morning, they said.

She belongs to Chintalbasti area in the city but was staying in the hostel, within the premises of the stadium.

No suicide note had been found so far and investigations are on, police said adding the reason behind the extreme step is not known.
