The heads were found at a dumping ground in Andheri (west) on Friday evening after the police control received a call at around 8 pm.

The police said that during the course of investigation, it came to the fore that Nanavati Hospital had ordered the heads from JJ Hospital for teaching trainee doctors.

However, after their use, the hospital dumped it with other material like syringes, gloves etc that was collected by a garbage dumper and dumped near the dumping ground in Lokhandwala.

The police will now probe as to which individual was responsible for the incident to take further action.

The cops learnt, later, that one skull belonged to a 40 to 45-year-old woman while the other belonged to a 60-year-old man.
