A 20-year-old woman, resident of Jagatpuri in East Delhi was murdered by two of her "friends" in a jungle in Muzaffarnagar. One of the two killers has been identified as a Delhi Police constable.

Muzaffarnagar police officers said two of their police constables who were on night patrolling on Wednesday night heard a woman scream. They informed their senior officer and a police party reached the jungle in Phoolat village.
The police party found the two stabbing the woman. They had poured acid on her face and had hit her head with a heavy iron implement. The woman, Jyoti, was rescued but she later succumbed to injuries.
The killers were Constable Shashi Bhushan and Sandeep, a resident of Noida.
