He was speaking during a seminar held on women health in Aisha Siddiqui Inter College here today.
Basheer, the chief guest of the program, further said that women should be healthy enough to keep pace with the society. “It has been rightly said that behind every successful man there is always a women, as it is she who gives the first lessons of life to her child,” he added.
Women have a very important role to play in the development of any society and thus should be given more respect, he further said.
Dr Archana Shobit Seth and some of the students also expressed their views during the seminar, which was presided over by college principal Jamal Akhtar. Dr Wasim Rizvi gave the vote of thanks.
