Wooing fans through the web

Bollywood actors are now extending their publicity arena to the World Wide Web as well. Princy Jain tells more.

"I know he's coming back to me at night!" That's Bipasha Basu on John Abraham on the her pad at the World Wide Web.

Recently, controversy queen Mallika Sherawat too chose her official website to comment on the death threats she had received from an anonymous fan. So does that mean that our stars are now extending their publicity arena to the virtual world as well?

Looks like. But the biggies - the Aamir Khans and the Aishwarya Bachchans are yet to get there. Aamir's website has a message from the actor saying that he is in the process of putting the website together.

SRK's business manager Karuna also says that, "He is keen on launching his official website and we are in the process of developing it."

Preity Zinta and Rani Mukerji have numerous fan sites but no official sites of their own. Aishwarya Bachchan, used to have an elaborate website, which is non-operational now. Her business manager Hari Singh says, "Aishwarya's website was discontinued five months back, since she wanted to upgrade it. Soon she got busy in her personal life, the website will soon be operational."
