Speaking on the occasion, Gaur said that workers are assets of any organisation and their protection leads the country to sustainable growth.

He stressed on the need to impart continuous training on health, safety and environment (HSE) to industrial workers. The minister appreciated BHEL and the National Safety Council for organising this programme in coordination with the Directorate of Industrial Health and Safety, Government of Madhya Pradesh.

In his address, Dube spoke on the protection of work force and avoiding losses by adopting modern technologies to increase productivity and profitability.

The organisation should work with HSE standards much above the law, he added. General manager (HR) M C Prasad welcomed the guests and said the seminar will build a successful partnership among industrial workers, unions and industries.

Dr S A Pillai, chief safety and environment officer and secretary, NSC, Madhya Pradesh chapter, proposed the vote of thanks.
