World champion Hayden to have op

Hayden met with accident on October 15 this year at Estoril, during the penultimate Grand Prix of the season.

World motorcycling champion Nicky Hayden of the USA is set to have an operation on his right collarbone in the next few days in San Francisco, it was revealed on Thursday.

Hayden originally broke his right collarbone in 2004 during practice and his accident on October 15 this year at Estoril, during the penultimate Grand Prix of the season; once more hurt the same place.

Hayden, who lost the championship lead to Italian Valentino Rossi in Estoril, went on to win the championship in Valencia on October 29 when Rossi fell though he could hardly lift his right arm.
