A week before his wedding and seven years after Darna Mana Hai, Vivek Oberoi returned to mentor Ram Gopal Varma’s camp with Rakht Charitra which opened in theatres on Friday. Now the actor is also looking forward to his wedding next Friday, October 29, with Priyanka Alva in Bengaluru.

And since the Tamil version of Rakht Charitra releases on Diwali, followed by the second part of the film on November 19, the actor has convinced his fiancée to defer their honeymoon by a few weeks. But has he shown the movie to his wife-to-be? "Yes, I have shown the film to her.

She took a deep breath, looked at me and said, ‘You are brilliant.’ Then she took another deep breath and remarked, ‘I hope I never see you this angry in real life’," Oberoi smiles.

He admits he has had his angry moments in the past. "As you grow up, you realise the futility of anger. When you lose your temper, you lose respect by saying things you don’t really mean. I’d rather be consumed by the good things of life instead," Oberoi says.

Is that the effect of being in love with Alva? Without getting straight to the answer, he says, "Someone had once asked me if I hold grudges against anyone. I said I don’t have time for negativity. There are so many things to do in one lifetime that I don’t want to waste time on insignificant things."

The actor has a new passion: deep sea diving. "Priyanka is a trained diver. I’ll be learning from her. She’s keen to learn flying planes from me," blushes Oberoi, who has promised his fiancée to make up for the delayed honeymoon with an

extension.

Meanwhile, the actor’s family has been complaining that he has been missing from the pre-wedding celebrations at home because of the Rakht Charitra promotions. "When I get home, it feels great to see everyone so happy. My parents, sister, brother-in-law and even my nephew Adi have grown fond of Priyanka in such a short span of time. She’s won over their hearts over and that makes me proud of my life partner," beams Oberoi.

His fiancée is also helping him do up their bungalow. "I had never imagined sitting somewhere and checking samples of marble and choosing which shade would suit which part of the house," says the groom-to-be. "It’s a wonderful experience to look into every detail of the house a man and woman plan to turn into a home together. Priyanka has great taste.

I revel in her sense of aesthetics. Everything will be eco-friendly because both of us are environment-conscious," he exults.
