Senior TDP leader and party candidate from Srikakulam Lok Sabha seat, K Yerran Naidu, who was injured in a naxalite attack last week, was on Friday shifted to a city hospital for treatment.

Naidu, whose vehicle was blasted by PWG naxalites near Singupuram junction in Srikakulam district while he was returning from an election rally, has been admitted to Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) here.
After conducting a series of tests on him, the doctors said he suffered a fracture in his backbone.
Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Governor Surjeet Singh Barnala called on Naidu and enquired about his health.
The PWG naxalites had triggered landmine blast on April 18 targetting Naidu's vehicle. Along with Naidu, his two gunmen, personal assistant and driver sustained injuries.
The blast occurred when Naidu was returning to Srikakulam from Tekkali after winding up campaign for the first phase of elections.
