“The mela is going to take place after 10 years. I’ve heard that the mela used to be a regular feature once, but it has not happened in the last 10 years. The mela will have a stalls of food and handicraft from all around the State. Apart from this, we’ve invited various schools to come and put up their science and art exhibition. Our employees would also put up stalls where they would inform the public about various schemes available with post offices,” informed Abha Singh, Director Postal Services, Lucknow.

Employees of the department from all over the State can put up stalls at a very nominal rate. “We want our employees to earn an extra buck. We have recommended employees from various parts of the State to bring in handicraft of that area and put up stalls,” said Singh. They are available for Rs 500 per stall.
