Young scientists fire imagination

Children from nearly 135 schools displayed their unique, innovative ideas in science on ?Science and Technology for Rural Development? at the regional-level science exhibition held at the Apeejay School in Pitampura on Saturday.

Children from nearly 135 schools displayed their unique, innovative ideas in science on ‘Science and Technology for Rural Development’ at the regional-level science exhibition held at the Apeejay School in Pitampura on Saturday.

The students showcased projects on topics like ‘Life protection hi-tech circuit’, ‘Fingerprint recognition system and code’ and ‘Environmental management’ among others, at the exhibition that was organised by the Central Board of SEcondary Education (CBSE).

“The exhibition is part of our enrichment programme for students,” said Ashok Ganguly, chairman, CBSE. Noted scientist Professor Yash Pal, who was also present on the occasion, called upon students to identify their calling in life and follow it with all their heart.

Their project titled ‘Conversion of oil seeds into green fuel’ got them the first position at the regional level.
