A youth has been arrested for alleged blackmail and rape of a teenage girl at the PAC Colony here, police said on Saturday.
The accused Sonu, son of a platoon commander, was arrested yesterday and produced before a local court which remanded him in judicial custody, they said.
According to police, the victim, a class X11 student and daughter of a police constable, in her complaint alleged that Sonu and one Rajendra, both residents of the Colony, allegedly took "vulgar" clippings of her.
They, she claimed, have been "physically and financially exploiting" her after
blackmailing her with the clippings.
The girl in her complaint claimed that the clippings were taken after the duo called her to the house of a woman in the Colony and gave her an intoxicating drink, they said.
A search is on for the woman, third accused in the case.
