Youth drowns in Yamuna

A 23-year-old man drowned in the Yamuna river in Loni area of the district, on Saturday. Akshay Kumar drowned while he was taking bath in the river along with his five friends, police said.

They had come from Baghpat to get forms for police recruitment exam, police said. While five of them were saved by divers, Akshay was washed away in the swelling river, they said. Search for his body is on.
