A youth was murdered and his brother critically wounded by armed assailants on DAV College campus on Friday.

Amrinder Singh and his brother Tarvinder Singh had come to the college to appear for an examination when they were
assaulted by around half a dozen persons in the parking lot with sharp-edged weapons.

Amrinder died on way to the hospital where his brother is still being treated.

A murder case has been registered in this connection against six people who fled the spot immdiately after the assault.

Old rivalry is said to have been the cause of the attack.
