Youth shot dead in Udhampur

A youth was today shot dead in Udhampur district of Jammu & Kashmir by a trio in a suspected case of revenge, police said.

Vikram Singh alias Vicky was intercepted by three youths in Barian Mohalla area of the district and one Aftab shot at him, killing him on the spot, they said.

The victim had attacked and critically injured Aftab some years ago after the latter abducted his sister Meenakshi, police said, adding a hunt is on to catch the assailants who managed to escape soon after the incident.
