Youth torched to death over affair

A RAILWAY employee allegedly called a youth at his home last evening and set him afire because he did not like the youth?s affair with his daughter. The youth later died in hospital.

A RAILWAY employee allegedly called a youth at his home last evening and set him afire because he did not like the youth’s affair with his daughter. The youth later died in hospital. The incident led to tension and police force was deployed in strength in Joura town of Morena district where the incident took place. The residents of Joura observed a bandh in protest.

The police said that the accused, Hassan Khan, living near the railway station, called Kallu, son of Shesh Narayan Sharma (26) and torched him in his house with the help of Bachchu Singh and his son Sanju by pouring petrol on Kallu in Joura.

The doctors of Joura hospital referred Kallu to Gwalior where he succumbed to his burns during treatment. The Joura police arrested Hassan Khan, Bachchu Singh and Sanju under sections 307 and 34 of the IPC.

Following the death of Kallu a case of murder would be registered against the trio. Khan lives in a railway quarter. His daughter was stated to be having an affair with Kallu. Khan had objected to this. Ultimately he prepared a plan with Bachchu Singh and Sanju to do away with Kallu. Khan called Kallu to his house where Bachchu Singh and Sanju were present. They poured petrol on Kallu and torched him.
