Governor Narayan Dutt Tiwari administered oath of office to the new ministers at a simple ceremony at Raj Bhavan.

There are 20 new ministers while four ministers in the outgoing cabinet have been dropped.

Half a dozen new ministers had to either walk or hike a ride in two wheelers to reach the Raj Bhavan in time to take oath on Monday due to massive traffic jam that extended for several kilometers and lasted several hours.

Gade Venkat Reddy, a senior leader in his late sixties had to dump his car on the Khairatabad flyover and literally run half a kilometre to reach the Raj Bhavan to take oath. His family members who were in the car and wanted to witness the ceremony had to return disappointed. Three new ministers including Botsa Satyanarayana who were coming from the new airport at Shamshabad, had to take lift in two wheelers to make it to the swearing just before it was to conclude.

Loyalty to Rajasekhar Reddy appears to be single criterion in the selection of new ministers, some of whom touched the feet of the Chief Minister after taking oath.
