An 18-year-old girl was allegedly molested by a doctor of MY Hospital on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. A case has been registered at Santyogitaganj police station and investigation is on.
In her complaint, the girl alleged that the accused doctor, Deepak Keswani, had called her in a room at 3.30am on Wednesday and tried to outrage her modesty.
The complainant was with her grandmother who is admitted in the orthopaedic ward of the hospital for the past ten days.
"At around 3.30am, I went to the doctor to request him to administer an injection to my grandmother. He first asked about my boyfriend and then tried to outrage my modesty after he closed the door. I warned the doctor and then ran out of his chamber," said the victim in her complaint.
The victim then sent a message to his friend about the harassment and later decided to lodge a complaint.
On the other hand, Dr Keswani, while talking to the media said he had not done anything wrong and the girl had misinterpreted his instruction. "At 3.30am, when I was on night duty, she asked me to administer an injection to her grandmother. I told her to go to the nurses' room and then went to my chamber. She followed me and came to my chamber and asked me to administer the injection. On this, I again told her to go to the nurse's room. Nothing happened after this," the doctor said.
