Asked to bat, Kings XI Punjab put up a competitive total of 167/6 thanks to captain Glenn Maxwell’s 44. However, it was only a one-man show for the Kolkata Knight Riders as Chris Lynn kept hammering the ball for his 84 but ran out of support at the other end. KKR are still second in the standings with 16 points while KXIP are 5th with 12.
