Case against CBI officials transferred to CB-CID

CBI SP R S Poonia and Inspector Subhash Kundu were booked for torturing a police Sub-Inspector in their custody. "The case, registered in Ashok Nagar Police Station, was transferred to the CB-CID as it is a sensitive one," DCP (Jaipur-South) Jose Mohan said.

The FIR was registered Thursday night under various sections of the IPC, they said.

A local court had directed registration of the case on a complaint filed by SI Satyanarayan Godara.

Godara, along with three other policemen, was arrested last month by the CBI in connection with the killing of criminal Dara Singh in an alleged fake encounter in October 2006.
