Party's state in-charge Kaptan Singh Solanki announced their induction in the party.

Meena, who is younger brother of Union cabinet minister Namo Narayan Meena, had set the speculation mills running when he met Raje last week in Delhi.

Meena, IPS officer of batch 1976, was shifted from DGP to DGP home guard and then to the jail department immediately after Raje resumed charge as CM in December last year.

Later, Meena was deputed as secretary (security) at cabinet secretariat in the Union government. Meena had shown inclinations to join politics even when he was heading the state police. He was welcomed like a political leader during one of his visits to Dausa and Kota areas.

According to party sources, Meena may be fielded either from Meena community dominated Dausa constituency or from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur constituency from where his elder brother is Congress MP.
