The 13-coach train derailed over a rail underbridge around 3 am, shortly after it left Rajiyasar station, said CR Kumavat, senior divisional commercial manager of north western railway. The railways have ordered a probe into the accident, he said.

District collector Gyanaram told HT that the four injured passengers were taken to civil hospital, where two were discharged after preliminary medical aid. Special buses were also arranged to shift the stranded passengers.

Chief minister Vasundhara Raje and former chief minister Ashok Gehlot took to Twitter to wish a speedy recovery to the people injured in the accident.

Two trains cancelled, four diverted

The derailment threw rail traffic on the route out of gear as at least four trains had to be diverted. According to officials traffic is expected to normalize by Saturday night.

Two trains, including Lalgarh-Abhohar passenger train from Lalgarh and Suratgarh-Jaipur passenger train, were cancelled. A Delhi-Bikaner (12555) train was also terminated at Suratgarh.
