Speaking at the valedictory session of the three-day International Conference on Counter Terrorism, 2015 here, Rijiju said terrorism now is not the problem of any one country but has spread to different parts of the world.

He said the civil society needs to be up in arms against the ISIS terror. He further said parents and the Indian society have been able to prevent young people from joining such terror groups.

Now, a global problem, terrorism poses a challenge to mankind and the world needs to come together to fight it.

“We need a global strategy to counter terrorism. “It should be seen as a global problem. The way the entire world is working together for climate change, in the same way the world should work to counter terrorism,” Rijiju said.

The three-day conference saw sessions on terrorism and the challenges it presents. Several security and counter-terrorism experts attended the conference.

The Sardar Patel University of Police Security and Criminal Justice, Jodhpur and the India Foundation meet jointly organised the meet.
