To pre-empt the move on the state government to recommend Gurjjars' case to the centre to include them in ST category, two ministers and eight MLAs from BJP, Congress and BSP on Friday met the chief minister Vasundhara Raje and requested her not to accept the demand of the agitating community.
Due to pressure created by the elected representatives of the Meena community, the fourth round of dialogue between leaders of Gurjjars Sanghrash Samiti (GSS) and ministerial team could not start at the premises of ministry of health as scheduled for 1 pm.
Chairman GSS Col Kirori Singh Baisela said, "The direct clashes between Meenas and my community may derail the peace process hence state government and centre should take immediate measures to check this trend."
Baisela said, " I do not want confrontation with Gurjjars and nobody should try to sabotage the negotiations which were being held in cordial atmosphere."
"The third round of talks had ended on Thursday on the optimist note to meet again on Friday to clinch the issue but direct clashes between Meenas and Gurjjars might contribute in delaying the resumption of the dialogue," he said.
Dr Kirori Lal Meena who led the delegation to the chief minister said, "We apprised Raje of the feelings of the Meena community and requested her to give top priority to restore the law and order."

MLAs also informed her about the lawlessness and anarchy created by the Gurjjars which ought to have been crushed with iron hand," Kirori said.
Other members of the delegation from BJP, Congress and BSP, said that Gurjjars had created terror everywhere which should not be permitted and government should utilize the army and paramilitary forces to control the anti social elements who were destroying the public property.
The members of delegation included minister of state for finance Virendra Meena, Raghubir Singh Meena from Congress,Murari lal (BSP) and others from BJP like Ram Kishan Meena,Sabji Ram Meena, Kanti Lal Meena, Kanhiyia Lall Meena, Hem Raj Meena , and Nand lal Meena.
