Chief minister Vasundhara Raje has urged non-residents of Rajasthan to invest in the state’s industrial sector and be its pioneers.
Raje said it on the sidelines of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s executive meet in Bengaluru late on Friday evening.
She said the people of Rajasthan have made their names as industry honchos in different sectors and time has come that the non-residents invest in the state and be part of its development.
This would generate more employment in the state, the chief minister added.
She also met representatives of the non-resident Gurjar community during the event.
Raje returned to Delhi on Saturday evening from where she would leave for a seven-day business trip to Japan.
She’d be accompanied by a battery of senior officials, who would meet authorities and industrialists in Japan and promote the investment avenues in the state.
The state government has been promoting investment in the state ahead of its much-touted Resurgent Rajasthan — scheduled to be held in November.
Meanwhile, the state BJP leadership highlighted its recent wins in the civic body and panchayat elections by inducting over 62 lakh primary members in the state.
