"Dasmunshi's condition is stable and satisfactory," according to a medical bulletin issued by the Apollo Gleneagles hospital where he was admitted on Sunday night.

An angioplasty had been conducted on him on Monday to clear two heart blockages.

The bulletin said that Dasmunshi's clinical status was under control and ECG and eco-cardiogram showed improvement.

"He slept pretty well, had a normal breakfast, lunch and had normal activities."

The 62-year-old WBPCC chief underwent angioplasty after he was diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome and an angiogram revealed coronary artery disease yesterday.

Asked about his discharge, doctors said that Dasmunshi would be kept under observation for a couple of days before being released.
