Speaking at the sidelines of a programme organised by four Kolkata-based chambers of commerce by Kumar said, "I do not want to be aligned to either of the sides – treasury or the opposition. It is up to them to decide on the demand for JPC probe. However, if they agree I am open to the idea of calling a special session of the Parliament."

Business of the winter session was lost completely as a determined opposition stalled work demanding a JPC to be constituted for probing the 2G scam.

UPA is considering the proposal of a three-day special session before the budget session next year to discuss and debate on whether there is any need for JPC probe on the spectrum allocation scam.

"In democracy there is no end to trying and I am ready to try my best and make it work in the proper manner," she commented.
