Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee will on day meet Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee who is unwell after a truck hit a car in her convoy on Monday night, a WBPCC leader said.

"Pranabda will be coming on Saturday evening to see Mamata Banerjee who is unwell and return to Delhi," Congress leader Sukhendu Sekhar Roy said.
The proposed visit of Mukherjee to Banerjee's residence at Kalighat comes after an aggressive BJP and the Left joined hands to target Banerjee for her comments on the death of top Maoist leader Azad at her rally at Lalgarh on Monday.
Mukherjee had said in the Lok Sabha on August 10 that the government would ascertain the position from the Railway Minister before saying anything.
