She said she was “deeply hurt” after reading the letter Priyanka sent through an advocate on November 5 saying she had expected her to attend the last rites of her son.

Expecting Priyanka to join her in her fight for justice for Rizwanur, Kishwar wrote back: “You should have come to meet a mother who lost her youngest son because of the conspiracy hatched by influential police officers and your father Ashok Todi.”

“I had also hoped that you would come to our house for Rizwan’s Chaharam or the tenth day and the Chaliswan (last rites) and participate in the prayers,” said Kishwar.

Expressing shock at Priyanka’s refusal to live with Rizwanur’s family, Kishwar said, “It is a matter of deep regret that you have sent the letter through your advocate and informed me that you do not wish to come and live with me any more. It would not have hurt me so much had you written this to me yourself. Anyway be happy wherever you are, my blessings are always with you.”

Inviting Priyanka and assuring the same love, Kishwar said, “We are not against you. And whenever you come to our house you will get the same love and affection that you had received during Rizwanur’s lifetime.”
