SER cancels Ispat express, Janshatabdi express

In the wake of the Maoist attack on a Mumbai-bound train in West Midnapore district, the South Eastern Railway today cancelled the Howrah-Barbil Janshatabdi Express and Howrah-Jamshedpur Ispat Express.

In the wake of the Maoist attack on a Mumbai-bound train in West Midnapore district, the South Eastern Railway today cancelled the Howrah-Barbil Janshatabdi Express and Howrah-Jamshedpur Ispat Express.

The two trains have been cancelled as trains were not running between Howrah-Tatanagar after the Howrah-Kurla Gyaneswari Express derailed after a blast and was hit by a goods train coming from the opposite direction on the down tracks.

The Hapa-Howrah express, Azad Hind express, Koraput-Howrah express, Ranchi Hatia express, Mumbai mail via Nagpur were being diverted.

A special train carrying the relatives of the dead and the injured would leave Howrah station at around 8.11 am for the accident spot.
