Sen’s advocates Naresh Balodia and Deo Kant Sharma also submitted before the court to transfer all the cases against Saradha Group to a particular agency for investigation and a particular court for trial for the proper adjudication and convenience of all parties.

Justices Ashim Kumar Banerjee and Mrinal Kanti Chaudhuri will decide whether to accept Sen’s proposal after hearing the state’s reply on June 10 in response to a batch of public interest litigation (PIL) petitions, seeking a CBI probe into Saradha chit fund scam in which millions of people had been duped.

Balodia said: “My client surrenders before this court all the moveable and immovable assets, businesses, media houses, projects and bank accounts etc. of the Saradha Group.

Make proper arrangement for their necessary protection and sale to repay the dues of genuine customers and employees of Saradha group’s media and business houses.”

On the investigation of the complaints against Saradha Group, Balodia said, “A particular agency may be directed to probe all the allegations and all cases may be transferred to one court for proper adjudication.”
