The Delhi health minister Satyendar Jain on Wednesday admitted that Delhi is facing acute shortage of vaccine. He said that the state has run out of Covaxin for people between 18-44 years of age and that just 2 days' worth of Covishield stocks are left. This came as the second wave continues to wreak havoc in India. The country's capital has over 80,000 active covid cases and more than 20,000 deaths have been reported so far.
