Krithi Shetty, known for her work in Telugu and Tamil movies, recently opened up about her collaboration with Indriya. In an exclusive interview with HT Lifestyle, the actor spoke about her love for temple jewellery, Tulu culture, festive dressing, cherished family heirlooms and the traditions she hopes to carry forward.

Krithi Shetty on her collaboration with Indriya
Aditya Birla’s Jewellery brand Indriya recently collaborated with Krithi Shetty and unveiled her as the brand ambassador of the brand. In conversation with HT Lifestyle, Krithi expressed her happiness, stating, “I think it’s a dream collaboration for me. I personally love all of the pieces, and they really draw inspiration from our culture and our heritage; that means a lot to me personally as well.”
“Like, somehow I think we all go back and take out our essences from our roots. And since I was also brought up in a way where I’m very rooted and very into my culture, and that's what makes it a dream collaboration for me,” she added.

{{/usCountry}}She also highlighted that since she started working with Indriya, there have been lots of memorable moments for her already in a very short span of being associated with this brand.
“When I just got signed with them, one of my films was released. So, for the promotional looks, I picked out so much jewellery, and I had to carry it to Chennai. I carried more than a hundred pieces with me, which for maybe, like, ten looks just because I just couldn’t choose one,” shared Shetty. “The brand was kind enough to give me lots of options, and I ended up taking over a hundred pieces because everything was so beautiful, and everything I looked at - I was like, I want to have this in my wardrobe, I want to have this,” she chuckled.
The brand’s approach to drawing inspiration from our heritage has attracted the actor for this collaboration. “Indriya is inspired by our heritage but reimagined for the modern woman. It has a contemporary twist,” Shetty told HT Lifestyle.

Krithi calls her personal styling “experimental". “It would be traditional and timeless in some way. My love for jewellery, since I transitioned into womanhood, my love for jewellery has grown immensely. I’m on the way to discovering what exactly I love, but at the same time I’m someone who loves experimenting with fashion. Sometimes I’m like a maximalist, and I want to really layer and wear lots of jewellery, and sometimes I want to be a little more minimalistic and just wear a pendant and some small studs. So, it depends on my mood, but I want to craft something that I really love. So right now, I’m in that phase of navigating through lots of experiments,” the actor explained.
Krithi Shetty on South Indian festivals
South India is known for its elaborate festivals deeply rooted in heritage and culture. Speaking about the same, Krithi shared her favourite festival. “Kola is one of the most beloved festivals for me. I always get very excited; it’s hard to explain to someone the feeling of being excited to witness it. My family, relatives, cousins; we all get ready together in our ancestral home. So, it’s just that excitement of getting ready, putting on our sarees and all our jewellery and, there’s a nice vibe going on, and then you go and experience something divine.”
Krithi also spoke about her love for dressing up, a passion she has had since childhood. “Even as a kid, I would pick my outfit a day in advance, lay out my jewellery and decide my hairstyle. I think a part of me is still the same. I still love putting my outfits together and planning them well in advance for special occasions. My birthday is next month, and I already have my outfit and jewellery planned.”

Krithi highlighted her love for jewellery and how much it means to her. “Buying jewellery for special moments is something I never want to stop doing. I recently saw a childhood picture where I was wearing a pendant gifted by my grandmother, which I wore throughout my childhood. I still have it, and whenever I see it, I’m reminded of those memories and how precious it was. I think jewellery representing milestones is beautiful, and that’s something I want to carry forward, just like I’ve seen my mom and grandmother do,” Krithi told HT Lifestyle.
“I’m personally really attracted to temple jewellery and layering because I’m more of a maximalist. But it definitely depends on the saree or the outfit that I’ve picked out for that particular look,” shared Shetty.
