Dressed in a golden and white elaborate gown, Shraddha Kapoor opened the show for Anju Modi on Day 3 of the ongoing Delhi Couture Week. The Indian ethnic collection was titled ‘Maya.’

Speculations were rife that Karisma opted out of the show at the last moment as she was not happy with the money offered. However, the designer dismissed the rumour, “Karisma had to walk but she had some family commitment, so she had to fly back. There is nothing more to it.”

The show featured gowns, saris, lehengas and overcoats in colours ranging from golden, red, blue, yellow and lots of white. “White is evergreen and it never goes out of style. It has a lot of meaning and energy,” told the designer.
Gotas and sequins were interestingly used on hand-woven fabric. “Fabric is hand-woven by people from different villages in India. Only calm, collected and meditated person can do weaving, so their vibration gets into the fabric,” said Anju.
Maharashtrian bridal headgear and lots of jewellery complement the Indianised look. Hair was tied back in a bun. Both flats and heels were put on.
The collection had just 20 garments.
