Lok Sabha elections 2019: BJP workers protest Ravi Shankar Prasad’s Patna arrival, supporters brawl

According to people present at the airport, as soon as the minister’s cavalcade started moving, a group of party workers began to chant anti-Prasad slogans and wave black flags.

Two rival groups of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters clashed at the Patna airport compound on Tuesday afternoon after Union minister for law and justice Ravi Shankar Prasad was shown black flags by a section of party workers allegedly supporting another BJP leader, businessman RK Sinha.

Talking to the reporters, Prasad remained unfazed by the clashes and said, “We will register a historic win from Patna Sahib.” (PTI)

Both Sinha and Prasad are members of the Rajya Sabha, and both were contenders for the Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency for which the BJP has chosen the latter to replace sitting MP Shatrughan Sinha, who could well end up contesting the seat again on a Congress ticket.
