"During the agitation launched on the directives of BSP supremo Mayawati, in the first phase demonstrations were held at one assembly segment each in 55 districts of the state in which senior leaders, MPs, ministers and MLAs participated," a party spokesman said here.

To assess the success of the agitation, BSP supremo deployed two senior leaders in every district and they were directed to submit their report, the spokesman said.

She said that during demonstration, the party leaders highlighted the Centre's anti-people policies, delay in allocation of central funds and wrong policies of the UPA government resulting in price rise.
