Sibbal released a list of allotment of 28 plots in posh Gomti Nagar area of state capital and said the misuse of official position by a public servant was cognisable offence. The list included names of senior bureaucrats and their relatives, he said. Sibbal even read out names of officers posted in chief minister's secretariat and their family members.

No advertisements were issued for allotment of these plots, he said adding that a commission had been set up to conduct an inquiry into allotment of these plots. The State Government though had informed the Supreme Court that the commission was conducting an inquiry into the issue no progress has so far been made, he said. The State Government obviously wanted that neither the SC nor the commission should look into the issue, he said. “This is the high time that the people should wake up and adopt to new political direction,” said Sibbal.

Replying to a question Sibbal said he would soon come out with some facts about controversial CD relating to telephoning conversation of Samajwadi Party General Secretary Amar Singh.
