CPI-M resolves to fight for food security

The CPI-M's two-day state committee meeting ended with a resolution to fight for issues like food security, rights of people living in forests and against the proposed Ganga Expressway project.

The CPI-M's two-day state committee meeting ended today with a resolution to fight for issues like food security, rights of people living in forests and against the proposed Ganga Expressway project. "The resolution stresses to fight for food security, law for the rights of people living in forests and against Ganga Expressway project", a release issued by the party said.

The meeting which was attended by CPI-M General Secretary Prakash Karat besides a host of senior party leaders also decided to protest Mayawati government's decision to hold "party-less" civic body polls in Uttar Pradesh terming the move as undemocratic, it said.
