Fake medicines worth Rs 5 lakh were seized from a shop at Amindabad market and one person was arrested for his alleged involvement in the case during a raid conducted by the district officials here.

On a tip off that fake medicines were being sold through the office of a courier shop in Aminabad market, Drug Inspector K G Gupta along with City Magistrate Arvind Kumar Chaurasia raided the shop on Friday.
"Fake medicines were being sold from the courier shop which did not have a licence to sell the medicines," Gupta said.
During the search, fake medicines worth Rs 5 lakh were recovered from the shop, he added.
