Four persons were killed and seven critically injured when a Sport Utility Vehilce (SUV) ran over a group of people in Aiswan area of Unnao district at Lucknow-Kanpur highway, police said on Wednesday.

The incident occurred last night when a number of villagers had gathered at an accident site. The locals were hit by the speeding SUV killing four persons on the spot, they said.
A manhunt has been launched to nab the erring driver, who escaped from the spot after the incident.
