‘Lord Ram is not in dispute’

Urging people to maintain peace, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, who appeared as a counsel for the Hindu Mahasabha, appealed to Muslims to respect the sentiments of Hindus and help build a Ram temple at the Ayodhya site.

Urging people to maintain peace, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, who appeared as a counsel for the Hindu Mahasabha, appealed to Muslims to respect the sentiments of Hindus and help build a Ram temple at the Ayodhya site.

Earlier, Zafaryab Jilani, Mushtaq Ahmed Siddiqui and Syed Irfan Ahmed, the lawyers representing the Muslim side in the case, said in a joint statement that Lord Ram had been described as ‘Imam-e-Hind’ by the great poet of the East, Allama Iqbal. “The personality of Lord Ram is not at all in dispute in the Ayodhya case,” they said.

Hari Shankar Jain, counsel for the Hindu Mahasabha, said, “We will be building Rashtra Mandir and not a Ram Mandir for which all communities should come forward to build.
