The executive council of the Lucknow University formed a committee on Monday to probe into the fake mark-sheet racket unearthed earlier this month after arrest of some varsity employees.

Former head of LU’s political science department Prof SK Dwivedi, who is also the governor’s nominee in executive council, will head the committee.
Other members include Prof RN Singh and Prof Chaman Mehrotra, both former professors of physics department, and controller examination AK Sharma who would coordinate, said LU vice chancellor SP Singh.
The committee will look into the existing procedures in the examination cell and recommend measures to plug loopholes so that such incident did not recur, said registrar SK Shukla.
To note, several LU employees are on police radar for their alleged involvement in the racket unearthed recently.
