Accusing the state government of adopting a pathetic attitude towards flood-affected people in the state, the Samajwadi Party on Tuesday said it will launch a stir against the BSP government to ensure better facilities for them.

"We have asked our district and city units to collect and analyse details of losses due to floods. Our party will ensure that those affected get due compensation," party spokesman Rajendra Chowdhury said.

A decision to this effect was taken at the state parliamentary board meeting of the party here, he said.

The SP demanded that the state government should immediately give compensation to the affected people.
