Student shoots his classmate in Muzaffarnagar

Akshay Sharma (17), who was shot by accused Anant Tyagi in Muzaffarnagar on Monday, has been shifted to a nearby hospital, police said.

A class eleven student allegedly shot his classmate at a tuition class at Purkazi town in the district, police said on Tuesday.

Akshay Sharma (17), who was shot by accused Anant Tyagi on Monday, has been shifted to a nearby hospital, police said.

Tyagi was taken into custody and the pistol was recovered from his possession, they said.

Police is yet to determine the reason behind the attack.
