Time bomb recovered from Agra

A time bomb was recovered from Agra, the city of Taj Mahal, on Saturday night. A battery and circuit was traced with the bomb in a white polythene believed to be left by two unidentified young men at a roadside eatery, Hemendra Chaturvedi reports.

The crude bomb with a timer was recovered from a dhaba on the Agra-Aligarh highway.

The Bomb Disposal Squad neutralised the bomb and top police officals of Agra police reached the location later at night.

The bomb was traced at around 10 pm at a 'dhaba' located near Tedi Baghia crossing on Agra Aligarh road.

The police Control room was informed of the suspicious watch in a polythene bag, and the Bomb Disposal Squad neutralised the bomb in a nearby field by removing the watch.

"Prima facie it appears to be the crude bomb and team from Forensic Lab has been called to work out the details," said Asim Arun, DIG Agra.

According to dhaba staff, there were two young men –- who seem to have left the polythene bag at the dhaba. Sketch of the two young men are being prepared on basis of details given by the hotel staff.

On the 17th of September a bomb exploded at a hospital on the Kanpur-Delhi bye pass in the city. Many people where injured in the bomb blast where IED was used. No arrests have been made in connection to the hospital bomb blast.
