The Vishwa Hindu Parishad will take out a ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Braj region on January 31. The yatra comes in wake of killing of a youth who was part of the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Kasganj on Republic Day.

A meeting will be held on Tuesday for preparation of the yatra, to be out taken in the Braj region having 20 districts within Agra, Aligarh and Bareilly divisions of western Uttar Pradesh.

Vice president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Sunil Parashar visited Kasganj and attended the ‘Shradhanjali Sabha’ on Monday to pay tribute to deceased Abhishek Gupta alias Chandan, the youth who was allegedly shot dead during the Tiranga Yatra there.

‘It is really unfortunate that a patriotic youth was killed in Kasganj during the ‘Tiranga Yatra’,” stated Parashar, who is officiating also as president of VHP’s Braj region unit, on his return.

‘It is not a crime to carry out Tiranga Yatra and to assert this, the VHP will take out the yatra on January 31. Instructions have been issued to office bearers in 20 districts of Braj region,’ said Parashar.

‘There is no need to seek prior permission as such patriotic yatras need no sanction in advance from the police or the administration,’ said the VHP leader adding, the yatra would be carried out both at district and tehsil level.

Parashar, who met the family members of the deceased in Kasganj and attended the condolence meeting, has demanded a house, a government job and compensation of r50 lakh to the aggrieved family. He has also sought status of martyr for Chandan.

‘We have submitted a memorandum to the district magistrate and the SP of Kasganj to communicate the demands to chief minister Yogi Adityanath,’ Parashar said.

Meanwhile, the Vishwa Hindu Mahasangh state unit senior vice president Sumit Katiya has condemned the incident in Kasganj and sought arrest of the accused under National Security Act (NSA).
