On August 5, the department asked Kejriwal to pay dues of R9.27 lakh to the government. Deepak Gupta, district president of Akhil Bhartiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal, said the people have volunteered to raise the money for Kejriwal.

Calling the I-T notice “a political vendetta against the people associated with the Jan Lokpal Bill” the traders said they wanted to send a strong message to the government.
